Junior World Championships Day 3 Review
Day 3 saw the end of pool play. Players had an opportunity to perhaps win their first match or secure top seed in their elimination bracket. Once again the competition was fierce and there were few matches decided comfortably. Perhaps Korea deserves a special mention, as having brought only three players, they managed to secure tiebreaker victories against Ecuador in boy’s singles and Costa Rica in boy’s doubles.
Tomorrow the competition begins for the new trophy now on display at the tournament desk. Referee Tucky Kravitz was quite happy to demonstrate to the winning team how best to kiss the trophy!
