World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA)

WADA was established in 1999 as an international independent agency composed and funded equally by the sport movement and governments of the world. Its key activities include scientific research, education, development of anti-doping capacities, and monitoring of the World Anti Doping Code (Code) - the document harmonizing anti-doping policies in all sports and all countries. WADA is a Swiss private law Foundation. Its seat is in Lausanne, Switzerland, and its headquarters are in Montreal, Canada.

WADA works towards a vision of a world where all athletes compete in a doping-free sporting environment.

The IRF events for 2011 and 2012 that the WADA tests could be done be listed.

  • 2011-Pan American Games-
  • 2012  Pan American Championships-Chile,
  • World championships-Bolivia,
  • World Juniors-STB,
  • Asian Championships,
  • Korea-May

The IRF is now part of ADAMS who will be conducting our out of competition tests as well as out in competition testing if an alternate Org is not available on site.

Under the World Anti-Doping Code (Code) - the document harmonizing anti-doping policies in all sports and all countries - WADA has an obligation to coordinate anti-doping activities and to provide a mechanism to assist stakeholders with their implementation of the Code.

The Anti-Doping Administration & Management System (ADAMS) was developed for this purpose. It is a Web-based database management system that simplifies the daily activities of all stakeholders and athletes involved in the anti-doping system.

Available in English, French, Spanish, German, Japanese, Russian, Italian, Dutch and Arabic, not only is ADAMS easy to use, it is also free for WADA's stakeholders allowing them to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the fight against doping in sport. ADAMS' multi-level access system protects the security and confidentiality of data.
